Faith in Action

At First Lutheran Church, our faith is more than just words — it’s action. This page highlights opportunities to grow spiritually, serve our community, and connect with one another. Whether it’s Lenten devotions, special worship gatherings, or service events, you’ll find the latest ways to put your faith into practice.

Worship in the Park

Worship in the Park will be held on Sunday, June 8th at 10 AM at Thomas Stewart Park in Stewartsville with our sister Church (St. Luke's Lutheran in Washington) for worship and a picnic. There will be no worship in the sanctuary on Main Street on June 8th. Please join us!

Mother's Day and Father's Day Collections

Thank you to all who contributed so generously to The Faith of Our Mothers. A total 0f $465 was donated from First Lutheran and we were also blessed with a Thrivent Action Team grant of $250. We were able to purchase 119 Spanish language
Bibles for the detention center in Elizabeth.

It will soon be Father’s Day and we are asking that you remember your father or all the father like men in your life by contributing to Warren County Habitat for Humanity. Warren County Habitat has recently merged and is now Habitat for Humanity Northwest NJ. Habitat recently finished a home in the Brainard’s area of Harmony Township and will soon begin construction on a home in Washington
