Faith in Action
At First Lutheran Church, our faith is more than just words — it’s action. This page highlights opportunities to grow spiritually, serve our community, and connect with one another. Whether it’s Lenten devotions, special worship gatherings, or service events, you’ll find the latest ways to put your faith into practice.
Bible Study
Please join us Thursdays from 4:00-5:15pm in the downstairs classroom for a group bible study and discussion. We will take a break for the summer.

Lent Collection
During the season of Lent, we focus on a collection that enhanced the lives of God's beloved people in various parts of the world. This year, we are collecting to buy sheep through Heifer International. See additional details in the Torch newsletter!

Worship in the Park
Worship in the Park will be held on Sunday, June 7th at 10 AM at Thomas Stewart Park in Stewartsville with our sister Church (St. Luke's Lutheran in Washington) for worship and a picnic. There will be no worship in the sanctuary on Main Street on June 7th. Please join us!

Mother's Day and Father's Day Collections
Thank you to all who contributed so generously last year to The Faith of Our Mothers. A total of $465 was donated from First Lutheran and we were also blessed with a Thrivent Action Team grant of $250. We were able to purchase 119 Spanish language Bibles for the detention center in Elizabeth.

For Father’s Day, we remembered our fathers or all the father like men in our lives by contributing to Warren County Habitat for Humanity. (Warren County Habitat has recently merged and is now Habitat for Humanity Northwest NJ. Habitat recently finished a home in the Brainard’s area of Harmony Township and will soon begin construction on a home in Washington.)
